Templates page

Overview

Templates define the structure and content of generated EPD documents. You can create multiple templates for different standard profiles or product categories, and publish the one you want used for PDF generation. Templates are accessed under Settings → Templates tab.

Template statuses

StatusMeaning
DraftBeing edited — not yet available for generation
PublishedActive — used when generating EPD documents
ArchivedNo longer in use
Only one template needs to be Published at a time, but multiple can exist.

Creating a template

Go to Settings → Templates

Navigate to /settings and click the Templates tab.

Fill in the New template form

Enter:
  • Name — a descriptive name (e.g. “EN 15804+A2 Standard”)
  • Standard profile — the applicable standard this template covers

Create

Click Create template. The template will appear in the list with Draft status.

Editing template sections

Click on a template to open its section editor. You can configure standard document sections:

For each section you can:
  • Toggle it on or off (enabled/disabled)
  • Edit the content — supports markdown formatting

Publishing a template

Once your template is ready, change its status to Published using the status selector in the template list. Published templates are applied when generating PDF documents from the Documents tab of any EPD.

Branding

Document branding (logo, primary colour, header and footer text) is configured separately under Settings → Organisation. See Branding.
